My Anxious Dog has only gone and done it! Yes we officially have a national #dogsinyellow day.
National #doginyellow day is to help raise awareness for our anxious and reactive dogs that wear yellow. This is a great way for owners to be creative and have fun because sometimes owning and walking an anxious dog can be challenging and stressful.
Owners of anxious and reactive dogs said “we need to raise awareness more” so here's your opportunity to help. If you use social media then always tag @myanxiousdog but March 20th 2022 is a real opportunity for us in the yellow army to spread awareness.
National #dogsinyellow day is to help raise awareness for our anxious and reactive dogs that wear yellow, otherwise known as the Yellow Army.
So what is the “Yellow Army”
Owners of anxious, nervous or reactive dogs dress their dogs in yellow because their dogs need space. Some dogs can be anxious and fearful and can react to other dogs or people.
So why “Yellow”
Yellow is the official warning colour for caution. A pure yellow is the most luminous of all the colours of the spectrum. The human eye processes yellow first and its the colour that captures our attention more than any other colour so it can be seen from a distance, and that is why we use yellow.
Every day is a dedicated day to owners of anxious and reactive dogs but on this special day we can make it a special one. A chance to really educate others to understand our dogs in yellow.
Education and awareness are powerful, be proud of your yellow
